Time Keeps Flying By!

I feel embarrassed by my lack of updating but with graduate school and work, time has become a precious commodity. Oh, factor in measuring and documenting my food, trying to get in long hikes, and trying to give my boyfriend (now my FIANCEE!) some attention, and yeah.
But I've had some MAJOR NSV (non-scale victories) since I last blogged!
1. Accomplished a 7-mile hike at 3,500 ft. elevation in the pouring rain. NEVER would have been able to that even 3 months ago! Accomplished a 4-mile hike as well.
2. Dropped from a size 16/18 to an 11/12. I feel like I blinked and missed the fact I dropped 4 pants sizes. CRAZY!
3. My weight loss is REALLY looking apparent in my pictures and general appearance.
4. Had my first labs done to check my nutrient levels and they are all PERFECT. Also, my elevated liver enzymes (a symptom of fatty liver disease) have dropped by HALF and I am now in the normal range. Also got cleared to get pregnant at any time if I wanted to.
5. Decided to begin trying to conceive after my 30th birthday at the end of March. Puts me at almost a year out and hopefully near my goal weight!
Okay, okay, time for the scale victory.... drum roll please... I am down to... 209 lbs!!! My goal is to hit onderland by the end of the year and I am well on the way at this rate. Here's some pictures!

On the right was New Years of 2013, on the left was me visiting my twin nephews this recent weekend! You can see huge changes in my face and everyone constantly comments on it!
Here's some pictures of Chris and I at Halloween and at the local Apple Cider Farm. We got engaged and set our wedding date for July 9th! I am absolutely crazy about this man!!
Also, did I mention I'm doing NaNoWriMo this month? For those who don't know, it's National Novel Writing Month, a nationwide attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. It's a crazy dash to do it but I'm 13k in already and looking forward to actually accomplishing it this year! I've made previous attempts but this year is looking very promising!
So some of my challenges lately with eating and weight loss:
1. Still having cravings, around Halloween was really hard because of the amount of candy everywhere. Also, my workplace was stockpiling the stuff but now that I've left that job, I've been doing MUCH BETTER with snacking.
2. I feel like my facial hair growth has INCREASED lately or is growing in faster or something. I bought a GroupOn for laser hair removal so I'll be starting that since I'm getting married next year and want to be fuzz free! I've heard you have to redo it every couple of years but thats still much better than dealing with it on a daily basis like I have been for the last 7 years.
3. My hair is starting to fall out. It's starting to thin on top, which was already thin to begin with. I'm trying not to freak out, I knew this would happen, and I know it will grow back eventually. I did buy a type of rogaine for women that I might start applying, just to try an encourage that regrowth and stimulate the follicles.
4. I've been sick a couple times lately and really dropped the ball on hitting my calories and protein. I am also completely burnt out on Premier Protein shakes so I've been trying to focus on getting my protein from foods. I still supplement with isopures but I'll need to order a couple more cases soon.
5. Buying new clothes, though exciting to be in a smaller size, is tedious. I look at clothes and have no idea if they will fit. I'm having to reorient my perception of myself because I'm significantly smaller than I used to be. I used to be able to look at something and have a good idea if it would fit. Now, I have to actually try on everything! I've been hitting up the thrift stores because I know I'll just shrink out of these too at some point. AND I can't even think about looking at wedding dresses until probably right before my wedding because I have NO IDEA what size I'll be at that point. Definitely "first world problems" kind of stuff but still.
Not too shabby and I can't wait to go shopping for cute holiday dresses! I can't believe I'm actually excited by the prospect of wearing dresses! Much has changed!
